Carousel Learning is an interactive instructional strategy that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking through structured movement and purposeful discussion.

In this session, participants will explore how to effectively implement carousel learning to increase student participation and deepen understanding across content areas. This strategy is aligned with AVID’s College and Career Readiness Framework and the Foundations of Instruction, supporting clear learning objectives, strategic lesson design, and student-centered practices. Attendees will learn how to design intentional stations, develop rigorous prompts, and incorporate strategies that support diverse learners.

Through modeling and guided practice, participants will experience carousel learning from a student perspective and reflect on its impact. Participants will leave equipped with practical tools to foster engagement, accountability, and deeper learning in their classrooms daily.
