Elementary music teachers will identify effective audition techniques and procedures specific to the D5 Elementary Honor Choir to support successful student participation in District/Honors Chorus events. They will also discuss best practices in aligning rehearsal expectations, event logistics, timelines, and communication across all 8 elementary schools. Teachers will be led in a discussion on selecting appropriate choral repertoire for their school chorus and this honor event, with consideration of music that promotes student growth, musical excellence, and engaging performances.
