Tailored Support for Students with Disabilities is designed for educators already familiar with Zearn. This professional development session focuses on how math games can be used as a powerful instructional tool in the elementary classroom. Rather than viewing games as an “extra,” this session highlights how they can provide meaningful, standards-aligned practice that builds both conceptual understanding and fluency. Through hands-on experiences, teachers will explore a variety of simple, low-prep math games that actively engage students while reinforcing key skills.

Participants will learn how to intentionally select and implement games that align with grade-level standards, support small group instruction, and encourage mathematical thinking and discussion. The session emphasizes practical strategies for incorporating games into daily routines—such as math centers, small groups, and intervention time—without adding much unnecessary planning or complexity.

By the end of the session, teachers will leave with ready-to-use game ideas, a clear understanding of how games support student learning, and actionable steps for bringing more engagement and purposeful practice into their math instruction. The goal is to make math both effective and enjoyable, helping students build confidence while developing essential skills through play and consistent practice.
