The presentation will include a variety of labs and demonstrations designed to keep teachers "hands-off" and students "hands-on" in the learning process. Demonstrations will provide opportunities for student observation, leading to questioning and exploration of chemical phenomena. Lab project ideas will be provided that allow students to investigate chemical reactions, guided by their questioning and problem-solving skills.
Middle and high school teachers who conduct science labs are required to attend annual lab safety training. Review teacher expectations, SDS, Chemical inventory, PPE, safety equipment inspections, etc.
