Hello! My name is Amber Watts, and I am a math teacher as well as an AVID elective teacher with 22 years in education. Outside of the classroom, I’m a mom to two amazing kids, a proud mother-in-law to a wonderful daughter-in-law, and “Honey” to one very special grandbaby—roles that bring me so much joy and perspective into the work I do as an educator.
I am passionate about helping students not only build strong mathematical skills, but also develop the habits and strategies they need to be successful learners in all areas of life.
As an educator, I believe that teaching goes beyond delivering content—it’s about inspiring curiosity, building relationships, and creating a classroom environment where all students feel capable and supported. I strive to model the qualities of a strong educator by being reflective, adaptable, and student-centered in my approach.
I am also a firm believer in lifelong learning. Whether I’m collaborating with colleagues, exploring new instructional strategies, or learning alongside my students, I am always looking for ways to grow and improve my practice.
